Oyunchimeg ist eine der bekanntesten Malerinnen ihrer Generation in der Mongolei, stilbildend für die zeitgenössische mongolische Kunst. Als Expertin für Grafik bildete sie zahlreiche junge Künstler in diesem Feld aus. Frauenportraits, Landschaften und Stillleben stehen im Mittelpunkt ihrer Werke. Die realistische Darstellung von Frauen, oft persönliche Bekannte, ist besonders beeindruckend. Eigentlich will sie nur ihre Bewunderung für die Facetten weiblicher Schönheit ausdrücken, doch steckt noch viel mehr in ihren Bildern. Geboren 1950 in der Mongolei, Studium an der Hochschule für Bildende Kunst, Ulaanbaatar und Repin Akademie für Bildende Künste, St. Petersburg, Russland. Zahlreiche Ausstellungen und Preise in Im- und Ausland u.a. in der Tsagaandarium Art Gallery und UMA Art Gallery in Ulaanbaatar; Zeit Galerie in Wien, Österreich; QCC Galerie in New York, Rodin Museum in Shizuoka Japan, San Francisco und Las Vegas, USA; Rennes, Frankreich sowie Jeju, Südkorea; Teilnahme an der Internatianlen Kunst Triennale in Indien; Preise wie "Nordstern" Mongolischer Orden und Verdienstorden als Künstlerin der Mongolei.
Oyunchimeg is one of Mongolia's best known painters and a defining figure for contemporary Mongolian art. As an expert for graphics she has educated numerous young artists in this discipline. Focusing on female portraiture, landscapes, and still lifes, she produces moving and powerful works. Her strength lies in the realistic depiction of women, most of whom she knows personally. She merely aims to express her admiration of feminine beauty, yet a lot more lies beneath that simple notion.
Born 1950 in Mongolia, she studied at the Fine Art College in Ulaanbaatar and the Repin Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Russia. Numerous exhibitions and awards in Mongolia and abroad among others at Tsagaandarium Art Gallery and UMA Art Gallery in Ulaanbaatar; Zeit Galerie in Vienna, Austria; QCC Gallery in New York, Rodin Museum in Shizuoka Japan, San Francisco and Las Vegas in USA, in Rennes France also Jeju in Korea, participation in the international Art Triennale in Indien; awards such as "North Star" Order of Mongolia and Meritorious Artist of Mongolia.
